I am no good at remembering to take pictures. Luckily, with Mandy's help, we got some cute baby pictures of Landon a few weeks ago. Love him!

The Kid!
My baby is almost 10 weeks old and we have been having so much fun!!! Our family just left after being here for a few days for Landon's blessing. It was so wonderful. I love being a mom, and I love our little boy. We've had so many adventures already (pictures to come!) and here are a few pictures of him day to day over the past few weeks.
We love you, buddy!

Broccoli Cheese Fiasco
Last night I made Broccoli Cheese soup--it turned out pretty well. I had just enough to take to work for lunch, gotta love it. I go down to the break room to heat it up for lunch, transfer the soup into a bowl, things are still looking good. I put the soup in for a minute--too cold. Another minute--just perfect. I wedge the microwave door open and grab my soup. But wait! The flimsy paper bowl bends completely in half. Flashback to Niagra Falls.
Below is a list of everything that this soup hit when it went flying, in order of importance:
1. My boss
2. My co-worker
3. My pants (and we're not talking a few little sprinkles)
4. The table
5. The wall
6. The chair
7. The other chair
8. The coffee maker
9. The floor
10. The microwave
11. My shirt
12. My sweater
13. My work ID badge
You get the picture. But I'm going to go ahead and hand it to myself right now. Did I overreact? No. Did I scream, yell, huff and puff or anything of the like? No. Did I even try to scrub the Broccoli Cheese soup off of my clothes? No. In fact, I cleaned up the damage, sat down and enjoyed some dang good soup (What was left of it). So, in true Sirrine Family style--it's not a meal until you spill something.

There Is Beauty All Around
Oh, come on. I had to use the ever-classic hymn in the title of a blog post. Do you ever feel like you're just going through the motions, and not taking the time to ENJOY the amazing things we've been blessed with? Sometimes I feel like that. Today as I left my office and was walking back to my car I was feeling like it. Thinking about how I was tired. Thinking about how it was Friday. Thinking about how I was hungry--again. As I crossed a graffitied (is that a word?!) bridge, passed a run down billboard and trash on the sides of the street I was almost to my car. I looked ahead of me at a car repair shop I usually parked by. There were lots of run down cars and the usual dirt, grease, peeling paint, and grime that accompany a place like that. And then I saw the most beautiful cherry blossoms. Lovely! Right in the middle of all those cars! And it made me think, just for a second, about how lucky I am to have what I have and be where I am. And it made me realize that if I would just trade a few minutes of my meaningless thoughts for grateful ones my life would be better. I'm going to strive for that.

TWIN PACK!
This will be a short post--a picture is worth a thousand words. You may recall "The Peanut Butter Incident." And you may recall me saying that we purchased a twin pack. Well, one jar is in the trash--empty. I'll let you guess what happened to the second jar. Again. I mean, really. Life is rough.
